Throughout time in high school, many elements can affect your mental health, like grades, friends, family, hobbies, work, and many more things that you or your friends may be involved in. Your mental state is a private situation within yourself, however you must not forget that you are never alone and many people may have the same burdens or problems as you!

Causes

There are a variety of causes for mental health struggles including

  • Violence
  • Harsh Parenting/Older Figures
  • Bullying
  • Stress
  • Relationships
  • Financial Problems
  • Addiction

And many more. Everyone is different and life is sometimes far from perfect!

Effects

Struggling mentally can heavily affect every day life. This can include your home, school, and social life. It causes a decrease in mental focus; being distracted during a sports game, a test, or just a normal conversation at home can be difficult. Long-lasting habits can change because of mental health, and also very slight changes like getting ready in the morning or a bedtime routine. Eating habits also can juristically swing because of mental health.
